The software works well and is easy to use. to read the names of the streets is difficult and should be improved. I had hoped a software is available to show the radar traps, but integrated with the gps. It is difficult to find streets if you do not know the name of the subburb.
This is the first GPS software Im trying out on my iPhone. To date it is also the only software that offers maps for South Africa. I was waiting for TomTom to launch their SA maps but after using MobileNavigator all I can say is WOW!!! The graphics are absolutely awesome and I love how the map actually zooms in or out depending on the speed you driving :-) Looks like I might just give TomTom a skip when they come onboard and stick with Navigon. I now just need a car charger and a cradle. I did see on Navigons facebook page that they are launching their own cradle (with a charger) next month - will have to keep an eye out for that :-)
Comparing the Navigon software and the ease of use on the iPhone i must admit that i prefer using the iPhone instead of my Garmin Nuvea 710 GPS unit. The maps are up to date and the routing is very very good. Some of the buttons is a little bit small to press when driving but im sure this will be fixed in a future update. Overall worth every dollar. Just waiting for the craddle then im tossing my Garmin unit.
I have been using this app for a couple of months and I am really enjoying it. The 3D graphics are very good, the integration with the iPod functionality and phone is excellent. Recently I bought the TomTom car kit from Cape Union Mart and this app works well with it. The latest update includes safety cams which was the only thing I was missing, hence my upgrade from 4 to 5 stars.
This is the best naviagtion for south africa , graphics is outstanding compare to tomtom only one downfall is that the icons are to small , I have it on the car kit so its stuck onton the windscreen and because you sitting back and driving you cant make out the icons at all unless u really look at it close , the icons are just way to small ,i tell you the icons are the best icons ive seen but if only navigon could make them bigger so we wouldnt have to strain our eyes just to look at it while driving. Thumbs up on safety camera database !!!

Some bad moments

1. The program doesnt stay working in background and exits or stops navigating with multitasking after short time. 2. I wanted to go from Potchefstroom to Pretoria via the N14, there is no option for this, and if there is, then where is it?? 3. Every time I plug in my headphones, the woman shouts in my ears as if its on speaker!! It doesnt have a separate volume control which also means it doesnt remember your last volume setting. 4. There are streets missing, example: Prinkaanvoel straat in East Lynn. FIX THESE and other obvious errors please after all its $80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last week I wrote a long review of this piece of rubbish which you are suppressing - WHY?
Whenever a new set of map updates and/or core files are received, there is no warning or an option to postpone (not now) -- so until you perform the updates the app cant be used -- fix this really irritating bug, and then the rating will be 4 - btw since the new app design was released. I have been blocked from using the app on 4 occasions, Completely Unacceptable!
Was a great app but have now lost all my map data and favourites with the update. Says there is an error with registering the device. When I try to register it says Ive entered the wrong password but there is no password field on the screen. App has steadily got worse since Garmin took over. Customer support at Garmin is useless.
I agree with Derek Wood - I am experencing exactly the same issues. Does anyone know of a fix? All other versions have worked perfectly for me! Please fix ASAP!!!
Most up to date maps? Could not even find Khama Rhino Sanctuary for my Botswana trip, also Martins Drift border post! Downloaded a free open source map app and found all the places missing on these maps. I would not trust this product for being up to date. If you sell a product for this price and deliver such poor maps, you are stealing.
